Biography:

Pablo Piovano was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on September 7th 1981.
Since he was 18 is part of the staff of Página/12 newspaper as a photographer.
In 2005 and 2014 he was awarded scholarship by the “Fundación García Márquez”.
During 2001 he documented the social and political crisis in Argentina, and in 2002 published a book about that work called “Episodios Argentinos, Diciembre y después” with other 4 photojournalists.
From 2004 to 2008 he coordinates a workshop for kids and teenagers in social risk situation at the Isla Maciel, Buenos Aires, resulting in a book called “Ojos y voces de la Isla”.

First place by ‘The Manuel Rivera Ortiz Foundation” New York
Festival Internacional de la imagen (FINI) Mexico
The 2nd place at international photography award (category:Editorial,Environmental), 
3rd at the POY Latam “Carolina Hidalgo Vivar environment category”
He results finalist at Burn magazine emerging photographer fund, at the Foto España “Ojo de Pez” Valores Humanos award, at the Nera Di Verzasca Award 2015 and at the Emerging Artist Scholarship Lucie foundation.

2016

First place by "Philip Jones Griffiths Foundation award” London
Special award of the jury of “Days Japan International photojournalism awards”;
Sustainability Award for young photojournalism at the Lumix Festival in Hannover, Germany
INCATV Award at the 3rd Festival Internacional de Cine Ambiental in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Also became a finalist at "Garcia Marquez Awards", finalist of the XX edition of the International Humanitarian Photography Prize Luis Valtueña
Nominated "Prix Pictet Award" and “Magnum The Emergency Fund".
In 2017,
First place by Premio Quinua Real Beca Photon Festival
Nominated  at Tim Hetherington Visionary Award and Infinity Award ICP
